Program(s) Description

Outside Art is a “plein air" (outdoor) art program in Tucson, Arizona offering small group lessons, after-school programming, and workshops for aspiring young artists, teachers and adults.

Outside Art also offers downloadable Outside Art Lesson videos and guided sketchbooks for young artists , as well as a variety of Outside Art Lesson Guidebooks and workshops for teachers, camp counselors, scout leaders, youth educators and home-schooling parents.

With the integration of visual arts standards and inquiry-based environmental education, Outside Art programs and resources encourage students to study, discover and communicate their understanding of nature through the art process. Young artists have opportunities to create with sophisticated media, learn professional art elements and techniques, and creatively express their own unique view of the world while discovering nature.
